ADOS-2 Clinical Training Workshop

ADOS-2 Training Overview
Our ADOS-2 training workshops provide an introduction to and guidance on the use of the ADOS-2 for the purposes of clinical assessment.
Our experienced trainers will provide an overview of the ADOS-2 and demonstrate administration and scoring, operationalising diagnostic criteria for ASD. You will have the opportunity to practise scoring with guidance from the trainers on the nuances of administration and coding the ADOS-2.
The workshop focuses primarily on Modules 1 to 4; materials are provided in order to complete training in the Toddler Module following the workshop.
ADOS-2 administration and coding are highly standardised. Therefore, valid assessment requires training. Read our workshop FAQs.

Important Information
As part of your ADOS-2 Clinical Workshop registration, you will receive all-digital access to pre and post-course materials for the ADOS-2 Clinical Workshop. These materials are intended to be used either before (Pre-course) or within 90 days after (Post-course) attending the ADOS-2 Clinical Workshop.
Participants should familiarise themselves with the pre-course materials in preparation for the workshop. After the workshop, participants use the post-course materials to reinforce skills learned and complete training in the Toddler Module.
The Pre and Post Course Materials amount to approximately 10 hours of required self directed learning.
The UK trainers will be one of those outlined on the list above. The actual trainer will be detailed on the relevant course booking form.

Who should attend
For clinicians with a prior background in autism and formal testing
This 2-day workshop is sufficient to support use of the ADOS-2 to inform the diagnosis of autism and autism spectrum disorders. Physicians, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists will be better prepared to make diagnostic and educational decisions, and evaluate programs after completing the workshop. In addition it is recommended that at least one person from each setting/organisation using ADOS-2 has attended a research reliability training
Researchers who plan to use the ADOS-2 in research need to attend in-person research workshops
Pearson does not run research reliability workshops, but it is recommended that at least one person from each setting/organisation using ADOS-2 has attended a research reliability training. The 5-day research reliability training is offered independently by trainers whose details can be found on the designated UK ADOS trainers' page
Other Attendees
1. Individuals with less background in testing but who provide services for individuals and families affected by autism may take the workshop for informational purposes
2. If you require longer in-person training with less self-directed learning, then it is recommended you attend a full research reliability training event
