John C. Raven

John Carlyle Raven (June 28, 1902 – August 10, 1970) was an English psychologist known for his contributions to psychometrics. Both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies were at Kings College, London. The first versions of what were later termed the Coloured Progressive Matrices and the Standard Progressive Matrices were published in 1938.
