N.B. Pearson only offers the 2-day clinical workshops. It does not offer the 5 day research reliability training - this is offered independently by trainers whose details can be found on the Weill Cornell Medical College website.
Who should attend
- For clinicians with a prior background in autism and formal testing this 2-day workshop is sufficient to support use of the ADOS-2 to inform the diagnosis of autism and autism spectrum disorders. Physicians, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists will be better prepared to make diagnostic and educational decisions, and evaluate programs after completing the workshop. In addition it is recommended that at least one person from each setting/organisation using ADOS-2 has attended a research reliability training
- Individuals with less background in testing but who provide services for individuals and families affected by autism may take the workshop for informational purposes
- Researchers who plan to use the ADOS-2 in research need to attend in-person research workshops. Pearson does not run research reliability workshops, but it is recommended that at least one person from each setting/organisation using ADOS-2 has attended a research reliability training. The 5-day research reliability training is offered independently by trainers whose details can be found on the designated UK ADOS trainers' page
- If you require longer in-person training with less self-directed learning, then it is recommended you attend a full research reliability training event
Note: Attendance on the course does not guarantee qualification to purchase ADOS-2; access to test materials is governed by our qualification criteria, please see our registration information page for further details
