WIAT-III UK is a UK normed clinical assessment designed to measure achievement in reading, language and numerical attainment. The WIAT-III UK provides two types of analyses to aid the identification of specific learning difficulties: the Ability Achievement Discrepancy (AAD) analysis and the Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses (PSW) Discrepancy analysis.

BADS specifically assesses the skills and demands involved in everyday life. The Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System(D-KEFS) is the first nationally standardised (US norms) set of tests to evaluate higher level cognitive functions in both children and adults. The WNV is ideal for psychologists who need a nonverbal measure of ability for individuals who aren’t English-language proficient, or have other language considerations. Assess verbal and non-verbal memory abilities in adults.

The Wechsler Memory Scale – Fourth UK Edition (WMS–IV UK) is an individually administered assessment of memory and working memory in individuals ages 16–90. The WMS–IV UK also contains a brief evaluation of cognitive status.

An assessment of verbal learning and memory deficits in adults.

The CVLT-3 is the most comprehensive and detailed assessment of verbal learning and memory for older adolescents and adults ages 16 and older. In this assessment, an examinee listens to a series of words and is then asked to recall the terms and the category to which they belong. The CVLT is considered to be the most sensitive measure of episodic verbal learning.

Assess the integrity of memory functions in children.

The Children’s Memory Scale (CMS) battery comprehensively assesses the integrity of memory functions in children and enables comparison with measures of both ability and achievement.The CMS parallels the structure of the adult Wechsler Memory Scales. CMS has 6 core subtests to measure learning in a variety of memory dimensions: Immediate Verbal Memory; Delayed Verbal Memory; General Memory; Immediate Visual Memory; and Delayed Visual Memory.

A test that distinguishes between malingered and true memory impairments.

TOMM is a visual recognition test that helps you distinguish between malingered and true memory impairments. Research has found the TOMM to be sensitive to malingering and insensitive to a wide variety of neurological impairments, which makes it very reliable. The TOMM consists of two learning trials and an optional retention trial. It uses two cut-off scores: 1) below chance and 2) criteria based on head injured and cognitively impaired clients. The TOMM is not transparent as a malingering test.

Measure the severity of anxiety in adults and adolescents.

The Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) is part of the Beck series of inventories. It measures the severity of anxiety in adults and adolescents, giving a firm basis upon which to make confident diagnostic decisions.The BAI evaluates both physiological and cognitive symptoms of anxiety and item overlap with other self report depression inventories is minimised.

Evaluate children’s and adolescents’ emotional and social impairment.

The Beck Youth Inventories Second Edition (BYI-II) for Children and Adolescents are designed for children and adolescents aged 7 to 18 years. Five self-report inventories can be used separately or in combination to assess symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, disruptive behaviour and self concept.

This edition of the Beck Depression Inventory is the world’s most widely used instrument for detectingdepression, features items based on depressioncriteria of the DSM-IV. It consists of 21 items toassess the intensity of depression in clinical andnormal populations. Each item is a list of fourstatements arranged in increasing severity about aparticular symptom of depression.

Measures cognitive, affective, and behavioural signs of depression in children.

The Children’s Depression Inventory 2 (CDI 2) is a comprehensivemulti-rater assessment of depressive symptoms in children aged 7 to 17 years. Depressive symptomatology is quantified by the CDI-2 based on reports from children, adolescents, teachers and parents.

The MMPI-2 is the most widely used and widely researched test of adult psychopathology. The MMPI-2 test’s normative sample and extensive research base help make it the gold standard in assessment for a wide variety of settings.

The MMPI-2-RF provides a valuable alternative to the MMPI-2 test. Composed of 338 items, with the RC (Restructured Clinical) Scales at its core, the    MMPI-2-RF builds on the strengths of the MMPI-2 test to create a new standard. Psychometrically up-to-date, the MMPI-2-RF is linked to current models of psychopathology and personality.
