The Severe Impairment Battery - Short Form (SIB-S) has been developed to meet the assessment needs for people with very severe dementia.

It includes a number of items from the original SIB and takes only 10-15 minutes to administer. Subscale scores for nine cognitive domains can be calculated for the SIB-S:
