Theresa Redmond, Professional Advisor at The Communication Trust, a coalition of over 50 voluntary and community organisations with expertise in speech, language and communication.
She has worked as a speech and language therapist and clinical educator for 20 years. She has broad clinical experience across paediatrics and a special interest in research and teaching skills. Theresa has been involved in a range of projects at The Communication Trust and is currently an advisor for the 'Talk of the Town' randomised control trial and the 'What Works?' online database.
Theresa’s recent work has included developing a new 'training packages' section for the 'What Works?' database and writing adaptations of existing school age interventions to fit the requirements of the 'Talk of the Town' research project.
Theresa is particularly interested in working with practitioners to utilise evidence to enhance decision making and to equip children and young people to develop the communication skills they need for life. She is passionate about those working within the sector sharing expertise, sharing knowledge and collaboratively defining best practice.
