John Rust is Director of the Psychometrics Centre at the University of Cambridge and a member of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. He is also Visiting Professor of Psychometrics at City University, London. His textbook “Modern Psychometrics”, now in its 2nd edition, has become a standard text in Educational and Occupational psychology. He is also the author of a number of widely used assessments including Orpheus, an assessment of personality in work situations; Giotto, a test of personal integrity; and RANRA, a high level numerical reasoning test. John has been actively involved in professional and ethical aspects of testing and applied psychology through his work in The British Psychological Society.
