Description
|
|
First and Second Names
|
Presentation: The examinee is shown two photographic portrait and asked to remember the first and second names of both people in the photographs.

Delayed Recall: The original 2 portraits are shown and the examinee has to recall their names.
|
|
Belongings
|
Immediate: Two possessions belonging to the examinee are borrowed and hidden in a desk drawer and a cupboard/closet (or suitable alternatives).
|
|
|
Delayed Recall: The examinee has to ask for the belongings and the locations where they are hidden when the examiner says: "We have finished the test".
|
|
Appointments
|
Presentation: An alarm is set for 25 minutes time. The examinee is required to ask two questions relating to the near future, when the alarm sounds.
|
|
|
Delayed Recall: When the alarm sounds the examinee is supposed to ask the two questions they were told earlier.
|
|
Picture Recognition
|
Presentation: Fifteen line drawings are shown to the examinee for 3 seconds each.
|
|
|
Delayed Recogntion: The pictures shown earlier are presentated again with distractors.
|
|
Story
|
Immediate Recall: The examinee is asked to listen to a short passage of prose being read out. The examinee is then required to recall as much of it as possible.

|
Delayed Recall: The examinee is asked to recall the story that they heard earlier.
|
|
Face Recognition
|
Presentation: The examinee is shown 15 faces, one at a time, for 3 seconds each. Later the examinee is required to select the original 15 from a set of 30.

|
|
Delayed Recognition: The faces shown earlier are presented again with distractors.
|
|
Route
|
Immediate Recall: The examiner traces a short route within the room. The route comprises 6 sections. The examinee is required to retrace the route immediately.

|
|
Delayed Recall: The examinee is required to retrace the route they were shown earlier.
|
|
Messages
|
Immediate Recall: Record whether the examinee picks up the 'message' envelope and the book and leaves them at the correct places.
|
|
|
Delayed Recall: Record whether the examinee picks up the 'message' envelope and the book and leaves them at the correct places on the delayed route trial.
|
|
Orientation and Date
|
The examinee is asked a number of questions relating to person, place and time.
|
|
Novel Task
|
Immediate Recall: The examinee uses different coloured pieces to make a star inside a template. The examiner explains and demonstrates how the pieces can be put together to form an object, using a set order. The examinee then has a try. This whole procedure is repeated two more times.

|
Delayed Recall: After a delay the examinee tries to remember the order, this time without any demonstration.
