Rookwood Driving Battery (RDB) - Training

The South Wales Driving Assessment Centre is offering a training day for Occupational Therapists in assessing fitness to drive.

Course details:

  • The course fee is £150.
  • The course will be held at the Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff .

Course outline:

  • Practise in administering the Rookwood Driving Battery, its interpretation and how to report findings.
  • An introduction to the procedures in the Centre for assessing fitness to drive including the on-road assessment.
  • Background issues of the legal requirements for eligibility to drive, what to do when concerns arise about an individual’s fitness to drive safely, and how to help an individual adjust to loss of driving and the alternative means for mobility.
