Thanks to everyone who attended this session - the recording and slides are now available on our recordings page.

Synopsis: Join Mick Atkinson, Vice Chair of The Children & Young People’s Mental Health Coalition and Head of Commissioning at Place2Be for an engaging seminar on 'Promoting mental health and wellbeing in schools – a whole school approach'.

This presentation will set out the rationale for why schools, working with local partners should be helping to promote the mental health and wellbeing of their pupils. Promoting mental health and wellbeing is an outcome in itself, but it can also help improve attainment, behaviour, attendance, help with Ofsted inspections and help prepare pupils for their adult lives. It sets out a practical framework to help implement a whole school approach to promoting mental health and wellbeing; and briefly summarises the evidence for this approach and the policy context. Schools are already promoting mental health and wellbeing, so it will also include practical examples of how it can be implemented.

There will be time for Q&A at the end of the session.
