SEN London 2011 Review

As October rolled in we once again found ourselves at the Business Design Centre in Islington, late on a Thursday night setting up for the Special Needs London, TES exhibition.

Kerry Rough, our east midlands sales consultant, Simone Gilson, our marketing guru and I constructed the large stand,Standand deliberated over products, posters and sticky velcro tabs, until the stand (see image, right) was at last presentable and accessible.

This year promised to be one to remember – the launch of Cogmed|, our new working memory intervention program, meant we had the addition of a large TV screen… and the exhibition certainly did not disappoint.

The autumnal sun shone throughout the conference, making it feel like an extension of summer, but even the lure of this late summer's weather could not compete with the exceptional list of seminars and exhibitors - with so many delegates visiting the stand, the two days just flew by!

A busy Friday

The Friday was the busiest day that we can recall at SEN London. Cogmed on the TV screen was certainly drawing in a lot of interest and our bestselling Access Arrangements range| was promoting interesting and in-depth discussions; especially as we had the product developer, Lesley Munro, on hand, so delegates could fully discuss their product needs and requirements as well as giving feedback on tests that they are currently using.

We also saw an increase in queries about our mental health, social, emotional and behaviour assessments and intervention range, such as the SSiS and the BASC. So we saw many of our EBD in schools information packs fly off the stand - for your free copy, please email your contact details to marketing@psychcorp.co.uk|.

Take part in our research

Linda Roust and Simone Gilson from our marketing team were busy collecting customer survey information regarding Digital products and Maths testing – this research is still on-going so if you would like to be involved, please email Simone Gilson at marketing@psychcorp.co.uk| to indicate your interest in taking part.

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and catch up on the current trends and developments.  We look forward to seeing you next year!
