The Adolescent / Adult Sensory Profile brings greater understanding about why individuals engage in particular behaviours and why they prefer certain environments and experiences. The results provide an increased awareness and understanding of sensory processing perferences not only for the client but also for the therapist, team members, family members, and others who are close to the individual.
It enables clients to evaluate themselves through the use of a self-questionnaire and is designed as a trait measure of sensory processing. An individual answers questions regarding how he or she generally responds to sensations, as opposed to how he or she responds at any given time.
Applicable for adolescents and adults with or without disability related issues. It is compatible for use in a variety of settings including education, mental health, rehabilitation clinics, community based programmes and long term care facilities. Clinical validity studies are included on individuals with Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder.
