Cognitive Assessment Training - Online (CAT Online) - COT endorsement

Cognitive Asssessment Training - Online (CAT-O) is endorsed by the College of Occupational Therapists (COT).

From the COT:

An educator and practitioner assessor have scrutinised the application against the endorsement criteria and I am pleased to confirm that the College will endorse the training tool until 30th April 2013.

From the COT assessors:

"The online training tool is a good way of delivering training in the current climate where many staff are unable to attend courses. The assessors also commented that having access to the training and support for a period of 2 years will reinforce learning.

This is a well presented programme and whilst it does not carry recognised academic credits it will be valuable to practice staff working with complex clients in a variety of settings."

Further commendations include:

Delivery method enables students to work at home and at their own pace, moving backwards and forward through the programme.

“Trial assessment” before final version – good practice and clear information regarding level required to progress.

Good use of discussion area and links provided to web-pages for articles.
